Exhibition on view at the Chicago Architecture Biennial Welcome & Learning Center 

Odile Compagnon and Lynette Stuhlmacher's Homan Square class with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, North Lawndale: Housing, Otherwise will exhibit work by students from the fall semester course along with the work created by local high school students form the course Architecture: Design Your Dream Home. The students will present their visions for better homes to visitors while building empowerment tools for youth and engaging with visionary housing architecture.

Odile Compagnon is an independent architect with a practice in Chicago and in Paris, France as well as a teaching professorship at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, in the Department of Architecture, Interior Architecture and Designed Objects. She has partnered with Studio Gang / O’Donnell and before coming to the U.S as a visiting professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  

Lynette Stuhlmacher, LEED AP, is an architectural consultant specializing in historic preservation and planning, energy analysis, and sustainable design.  She is Principal of Red Leaf Studio, Inc. and faculty of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Her professional practice focuses on collaboratively integrating historic preservation, materials conservation, energy use reduction, natural resource enhancement, and resilient design in cohesively improving living and working spaces and environments.
