The Hyde Park Art Center celebrates its new round of exhibitions with the artists and public, and hosts several free family art-making activities.
1-4 PM: FREE ART ACTIVITIES
Create something fun at the Art Center’s series of free, family-friendly art-making activities led by Hyde Park Art Center professional teaching artists. Join Candice Latimer to take a collection of objects from both the built environment and from nature around us, we’ll make beautiful photograms on black and white paper in the Art Center’s darkroom.
2-3 PM: MATERIALS DECODED ARCHITECTS-IN-RESIDENCE TALK
Ryan Gann and Karl Ochmanek will give their first public presentation to discuss their process and pedagogy.
2-5 PM: OPEN STUDIOS
Visit the Jackman Goldwasser Resident Artists on the 2nd floor and hear about their process.
2:30-5 PM: Musical performances & spoken word with Sacred Jazz & Off the Pews
3-5 PM: EXHIBITIONS RECEPTION for:
