An American architect, MacArthur Fellow, and Chevalier de l’Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur, Jeanne Gang is the founding principal of Studio Gang. Her work emphasizes the relationships between individuals, communities, and environments. Gang received the 2013 National Design Award and was named 2016 Architect of the Year by the Architectural Review. She and her firm are currently designing projects around the world, and are one of two firms in the final round of competition to redesign the Tour Montparnasse in Paris.
This event is organized by the Alliance Française de Chicago, whose mission is to be Chicago’s center of French language and French-speaking cultures—to promote exchange, understanding, and friendship between Americans and French-speaking people—from Europe, Canada, Cajun country, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East—a world of over 220 million French speakers.
