"Performing Home" is a compelling evening of interdisciplinary performances that examine the rich and multivalent concept of “home.” Home is at once intensely personal and abstractly social; structured through individual experience, the built environment, and legal decree. "Performing Home" is a unique performance project in that it brings together choreographers and performance artists with scholars, lay historians, and housing activists to engage the complex spaces, meanings, and movement that construct what we call home. Performances will be followed by a discussion with movement makers and "expert" dramaturgs.
