Public Gestures Symposium brings together several of this year’s participants from the Chicago Architecture Biennial with international thought leaders in questions of public interest as they intersect with the built environment. The event will bring together participants from the Biennial with other influential thinkers to discuss what is at stake today in practicing art and architecture in the civic realm today, particularly in relationship to this year's disciplinary-focussed theme, Make New History. Chicago, once again on the international spotlight, will serve as the platform for these artists, architects, and administrators to look into the rich complexity of working in public.
