Chicago has a long history of being on architecture's cutting edge. Today, Chicago continues to foster pioneers in the field, and women architects are no exception. During CAB 2017, Chicago Women in Architecture will showcase significant buildings and other works of architecture designed by women in our city. The CWA will guide visitors through different sites, projects, and offices throughout the city and discuss their impact in the past, present and future.

Chicago Women in Architecture (CWA) is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization that exists as a professional forum for women in Architecture and related professions. The primary goal of CWA is to advance the status of women in these professions by: increasing the visibility of women in architecture; guiding and encouraging women to consider a career in architecture; establishing liasons with other professional organizations; networking; and advocating for issues of concern to women in the profession.
